John Condo has been a Vice President in the Atlanta office since 1999. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Applied Mathematics and received his Doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee.

John worked for 2 years in pension consulting before moving on to Ball State University where he taught Mathematics and Actuarial Science Classes. After teaching, he worked in the Investment Products Unit of Canada Life Assurance, handling both fixed and variable annuities.

John became a member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 1998 and obtained his FSA designation in 2000. Since joining ARC-GA, he has gained extensive experience in product development, asset adequacy analysis, pricing, reserving, market conduct exams and state audits.

Lorne Schinbein joined Actuarial Resources Corporation of Georgia in 2014 as Vice President and has served as President of the firm since the beginning of 2021. He consults in the areas of life and annuity product development and compliance, and valuation including actuarial appraisals, asset adequacy modeling, and Principle Based Reserves. He has also served as appointed actuary for several companies.

Lorne has held varying actuarial roles at several companies, those companies being Canada Life, Prudential of England, ManuLife Financial and Transamerica Life Insurance Company. Among several roles over his career, he served as VP & Managing Actuary with responsibility over a talented staff involved in all aspects of insurance product development, namely product design, pricing, policy form filings (including New York), SEC filings, policy illustrations, and administration system strategy.

Lorne is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, Ontario, with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honors Cooperative Program). He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (1991) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (1993). Lorne is the past chair of the Society of Actuaries Education Executive Committee.

Lorne and his wife Donna, reside in Dunedin, Florida. He has three children, Kevin, Robinne, and Molly, and a daughter-in-law, Jenny.

Cande Olsen joined Actuarial Resources Corporation of Georgia as a Vice President of the New Jersey Office in 2007. She consults on individual life, annuity and long-term care regulatory actuarial and compliance issues. Cande graduated in 1972 from Williams College with a BA in Mathematics. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Before joining Actuarial Resources Corporation of Georgia, Cande was with New York Life Insurance Company, where she held a wide variety of actuarial positions, most recently in the government relations area.

During her career, Cande has been very involved in Academy volunteer work, including serving a term as Vice President of the Life Practice Council and a member of the Board of Directors. She recently completed a six-year term with the Actuarial Standards Board and is a new member of the Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline and the Board of Trustees of the Actuarial Foundation. Cande was also recently appointed to the Academy’s Council on Professionalism’s new Committee on Education that was formed to support the Academy’s future educational efforts.

Cande lives in Morristown, New Jersey and Inlet Beach, Florida, where she spends her free time training for and competing in running races & triathlons at the national & international level.

Shawn Parks joined Actuarial Resources Corporation of Georgia as a Vice President in 2010 and served as President of the firm from 2016 to 2020. He consults in the areas of product development, financial reporting, reinsurance and regulatory compliance for life, long-term care, medical, and accident & health products.

Shawn began his career with First Colony Life/Genworth Financial in Lynchburg, VA. Over those 17 years, he progressed from actuarial student to VP & Chief Product Development Actuary, managing a staff of 10 and involved in all aspects of life and annuity products, including pricing, marketing, policy form filing, rate increases, valuation, and statutory reporting. He then spent 3 years as VP & Actuary with Kanawha Ins Co/Humana in Lancaster, SC, where he managed the pricing, filing and inforce monitoring of worksite voluntary benefit products.

Shawn is a Past-President of the Southeastern Actuaries Conference (SEAC – 2013-14), has served on an actuarial exam committee for the Society of Actuaries, the Nonforfeiture Modernization Work Group and Long-Term Care Practice Note Working Group of the American Academy of Actuaries, and is currently serving on the Academy’s Committee on Professional Responsibility. He has been a speaker and workshop leader on actuarial, regulatory and professionalism issues at several regional actuarial meetings. He is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Dave Neve joined Actuarial Resources Corporation of Georgia in 2020 as Vice President of the Des Moines Office. Dave has more than 40 years of actuarial experience in capital management, reserve valuation, financial reporting and forecasting, and enterprise-wide risk modeling.

Dave began his career at the Principal Financial Group where he held a number of positions over his 31 years there, including the company’s Appointed Actuary. Prior to joining ARC-GA, Dave was with the Global Atlantic Financial Group and its predecessor company, Aviva USA, where he served as Vice President and Divisional Chief Actuary and Appointed Actuary. He had most recently taken the role of Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs for Global Atlantic, responsible for monitoring regulatory developments impacting the life insurance industry

Dave is an industry leader in assisting the NAIC in the development of the principle-based reserve framework for life products through his active role within the American Academy of Actuaries. He recently completed a term on the Board of the Directors of the Academy as Vice President and chair of the Academy’s Life Practice Council and is currently a member of the Actuarial Standards Board. Dave is a frequent speaker at industry and actuarial conferences, seminars and webinars.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Wartburg College, and a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dave and his wife Julie reside in Des Moines, Iowa. He has three children, Angela, Luke and Emily, two son-in laws, Mike and Joseph, and two grandchildren, Jaxson and Eddie.
